From ‘Day To Day’ to present day, Sarathy’s journey has been remarkable. His new album ‘My East is Your West’ celebrates all things British & Indian, jazz & classical, modern & tradition. Recorded live at Church of Sound, the album is a homage to the great musicians of the 60–70s spiritual jazz movement; an exploration of Indian ragas & talas; a tip to Western harmony, hypnotic jazz, traditional Indian instrumentation & beyond.

Korwar’s collaborators are the UPAJ Collective: a group of highly versatile musicians, likeminded to Korwar in their passion for jazz & Indian music. This ‘Western-Eastern’ blend serves as creative impetus throughout both Korwar’s & the collective’s work, including their lovingly co-made (& namesake) album.

Now, Korwar & the UPAJ Collective will perform the new album live. The occasion is aptly marked with a headline show for the Unstoppable Voices series at the Royal Albert Hall. The show promises a meditative, contemplative treat for the senses all performed in the round in the Hall’s prestigious Elgar Room — which we are ecstatic to be broadcasting live on Boiler Room TV.
