Ta-ku might be the modern day renaissance man. Haven risen to prominence as one of Australia’s most in-demand beatmakers, the Perth-based artist has found himself curator of a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary creative empire.

Ta-ku co-runs and regularly contributes to multiple creative projects including Team Cozy, a sneaker-based Instagram account he started as a joke with friends which is now about to graduate to a full-blooded clothing line and Create+Explore a collaborative design community that celebrates travel and lifestyle culture with killer photography, music and video production. He also co-owns and advises Westons Barbershop in his hometown of Perth.

While the common thread is one of collaboration and self-expression, the key to managing these disparate passions is respect. “Having different creative outlets keeps me fresh in each one,” says Ta-ku.
