<p>Filmmaker Samona Olanipekun explores the concept of home, identity and belonging in this love letter to the migrant experience. Focusing on the motivation and courage it takes for one to migrate, the lyrical film visually and sonically tells the stories of joyful lives, exploring various protagonists at different stages on their collective journey.</p> <p>“I really wanted to put across this idea of a collective journey. My parents moved to the UK in the 80s for education and to give us the best possible opportunity in life. For me, making this film was a way to explore what that meant”, explained Samona to It's Nice That.</p> <p>Part of the Barbican's The Art of Change series of short films.</p>
