<p>'#aboutlastnight #1' is the first of a new series of short, looped video works by British artist Samuel Fouracre. His aim is to examine how contemporary technology has been transformed into a narrative device. It depicts an inert figure laying next to an iphone revealing what he describes someone’s messy romantic and erotic life. The stream of texts are aggressive, insistent and at the same time sensitive. All action is off screen. Here “the specific device (be it a phone, a tablet, a laptop etc) as a portal into possibilities.
