Tales of Us

If we are made by the media world around us, Oliver Pietsch’s film 'Tales of Us' is a punch in the stomach. The film is made from hundreds of clips of desire and love (fulfilled and unfulfilled) through cinematic history. His dreamlike work fusing everything from mainstream Hollywood 1980s films to indie autuers, shows us how we depict emotional turmoil. This cut and paste approach is something he has worked with over a decade including 2005’s The Conquest of Happiness examining the representation of drug use.
