When you’ve spent many hours of your teenage years watching old Kung-Fu films, it’s almost impossible to watch this Sza and Kendrick Lamar homage without a glint in your eye.
The powerful pastiche film is not overly retro but is charming enough to evoke memories of the original genre without relying too much on cliches. Not too arty or high brow - just fun.
