Swimming with Arthur Russell

4:3 by Boiler Room is proud to present Swimming with Arthur Russell, an ambitious tribute to the life of the maverick musician.

The exhibition, in collaboration with New York Public library, brings unseen pieces from Russell's personal archives to London. This marks the first time these artefacts have travelled outside of the New York City.

The show also includes a site-specific sound installation by Andy Stott, which bridges the two best-loved sides of Russell’s work: his left-field disco experiments and his stark, emotive songwriting.

For the opening night, we're throwing a broadcast party featuring JD Twitch of Optimo, Lucinda Chua and Whities' Reckonwrong.

Following the exhibition, which runs from 30 May till 3 June, the cult documentary ‘Wild Combination’ will be released for free on 4:3.
