Bella Riza’s work explores the idea of ‘home’. The London based filmmaker and RCA graduate Bella Riza drew on her heritage for 'Salt House', an intimate film documenting her father Alper’s return to his native Cyprus. He left during the war in 1968 and the film follows his return while he talks about migration and identity. This emotional personal portrait combines landscape and domestic interiors with an emotional result. His memories of his mother, food and the effects of war pull at your heart.
