Prequel presents his first ever video work, an intricate cinematic montage which reflects and builds on the essence of the song “ Love Is”. Each line of guest MC Cazeaux O.S.L.O's poetry has been paired with scenes from some of Prequel's favourite movies which deal with the subject of love. Whilst the video functions as a piece in and of itself, a deeper dive into the origin of each clip works to further solidify & expand on the songs meaning through the shared cultural reference of classic movie romances. The work uses familiar imagery, burnt onto the retina of the collective conscious to transport the viewer straight to the heart of the core concept of this track- and the whole album - a prolonged meditation on what Love is.

"Alongside my music career, film has always been a huge love and passion for me. I originally had another idea for a clip ready to be executed but given the new world circumstances was unable to do so. Myself and the others at Rhythm Section came up with the idea of doing a clip this way as I had already created small promo clips (from films) for each song on the album.

I printed out Cazeaux O.S.L.O's lyrics and immediately started brainstorming ideas for each line of the song. The footage you see has been meticulously matched with each line of dialogue. I wanted to be VERY deliberate and specific about the accompanying film scenes and therefore each clip is a very deliberate choice. There were so many more films I would have loved to include and have watched since! that would be suitable for the video clip too but I feel the finished product has a very specific tone and movement I am happy with (and hopefully others will enjoy too!).

The process of putting this together is VERY similar to the way I produce music however this was different in the fact that music, lyrics and visuals all had to work harmoniously, compliment each other yet also have a voice of their own."
