Verhoeven created this joyous film with Danish fashion design Peter Jensen as the backdrop for a performance at CHART Art Fair in Copenhagen, for a programme based around the idea of the spectrum. The piece depicts Jensen swaying and dancing to a cornucopia of songs referencing the colours of the rainbow. It showcases Verhoeven’s signature approach to performance involving layers of headpieces, oddly used materials, coloured pencils, odd textiles, pound shop tat, ribbons and penny sweets. The artist’s penchant for 70s pop emerges in her song choices like Rainbow by Peters & Lee, Melting Pot by Blue Mink and Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.
