Named after either an internet gossip chatroom or the turmoil of prepubescent masturbation, ‘Sticky Drama’ has a lot to, erm, unload. That’s never truer than its video, a collaboration between Lopatin and ‘Still Life (Betamale)’ director Jon Rafman. Alongside its prologue, the short film depicts a Live Action Role Play battle between two armies of children, incorporating delightful RPG text boxes and litres of ‘Get Your Own Back’ gunge. Set to OPN’s death-metal-meets-bubblegum-pop soundtrack, the video poses important questions like ‘are LARPing and real-life war so different?’ and ‘remember Tamagotchis?’. The band ‘Kaoss Edge’, whose posters decorate many a bedroom wall in the video, were cited by Lopatin as a major inspiration for ‘Garden Of Delete’, but later found to be no more than a product of his devious imagination.
