This hypnotic video is an exploration of creative collaboration between artists during quarantine. Nikki Nair's "Pah" was originally released by Brooklyn Indie rave label Worst Behavior Recs on their Vol.3 compilation. Chicago footworker and producer DJ Acey recorded footage of himself dancing to this ethereal footwork tinged beat, which resulted in this collaboration with L.A based Visual designer Brandon Epperson. Approached by Worst Behavior Recs, Brandon processed the phone video through a variety of compositing and instancing methods, feeding our brains desire to see large arrays in sync. The video was recorded in real time with Touchdesinger with the morphing shapes and composite methods all simply played through controllers as an instrument along with the track. This collaboration between Brooklyn, Atlanta, Chicago, and LA based artists is a testament to how we can still come together and create with less equipment and proximity.
