Terry Riley’s immensely modern 1968 edit of The Harvey Averne Dozen’s 'You’re No Good' is at the heart of Payne and Relph’s collaborative film from 2002. We watch as footage cuts jaggedly in out to the beat of the soundtrack. A teen with diamante turtle on a chain, close ups of Reebok classics breakdancing on the face of Botticelli, kids riding push scooters on a treadmill. The duo (who not longer work together) created an influential take on youth rebellion, consumption and consumerism filled with hard cuts and humour.
