Brenna Murphy, who is half of art-music duo MSHR, creates work that bridges online experience, digital realism and physical movement. Her online moving image works, interactive sites and digital prints have always had a sense of landscape or deep 3D space, but this meta-architectural vibe is brimming with psychedelic excess. Much of her current work is made through radical collaboration, creating live sound and interactive performances where viewers step into sensor-filled, audio-triggering environments to make something experiential, unique and otherworldly. ‘Path Extrude’ is a perfect example of her fractal-esque synesthesiac worlds that feel fluid, graphic, human and inhuman all at the same time.
