Amidst all the furore about David Guetta being wrongly proclaimed as the man who brought House Music to the USA, it's nice to be reminded how far the sound actually travelled after it first emerged in the nightclubs of Chicago. Step forward prolific '90s Sudanese act Barakatak and their anthemic, finger-snaps and casio-keys heavy track "Maju Maju Maju" which shows how the influence of early House spread as far as Indonesia.

Immense in its own right, the track is made even more memorable by the official music video which has lost none of its peak '90s brilliance despite losing some of its resolution lustre to the tests of time. Full credit to Peter Kirn at CDM for this one.
