19:30

Aleksandra Domanovic travelled across the former Yugoslavia in 2010, collecting the idents for the 19:30 news from archives in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia from 1958 to the war in 1991. This archive of collective audio-visual memory and screen experience is juxtaposed in Domanovic’s film work with footage of illegal raves in the same area in the mid 1990s - another form of collective experience. In addition to the film, she created a project with techno DJs who used her material to create remixes of history itself.
